We are a group of Seattle wedding photographers who have become friends and colleagues through being wedding photographers. The group was started when of few of us began informally referring clients to each other when we were already booked for a certain wedding date. We all felt very strongly about who we would refer potential clients to, and were only comfortable referring clients to other photographers who we knew were reputable as business people, had great character, and were also talented photographers.
Each member of ASWP meets all of these criteria, and you can be assured professional and quality service, as well as beautiful photographs. In addition to photographers, we will slowly be adding pictures and links to other wedding related services such as venues, florists, coordinators, etc. who we have enjoyed working with and whose work we admire. We are different from other wedding related websites, because the criteria for being listed on ASWP is not simply paying to be listed, or forming an advertising pool. The only way to get listed on ASWP is to do top quality work, and provide excellent service as a wedding vendor. There are thousands of wedding vendors in Seattle, and our goal is to provide a list of the resources that each of us would choose for our own weddings. The members are Cory Parris, Maurice Photo, Yours by John, Joe & Jill Photography
Welcome to the website and blog of the ASWP. The ASWP is a group of photographers and friends that have worked together to provide resources for brides getting married in the Seattle area.

Here is the whole set of Annie & Ryan’s engagement portraits in the downtown Bellevue area. Annie and Ryan were a lot of fun to photograph. They are very happy together and up for whatever I had in mind - including laying down on the ground in a parking lot! I can’t wait to photograph their wedding next month!

This image was taken at the top of the Bellevue Square parking garage.

I liked this image. The texture comes from shooting through a chain link fence.

This was my favorite image of Ryan that I took that day. I like the lines of the fence, posts, and his shoulders.

Right in the middle of Bellevue, there is a Safeway that is going to be demolished soon. Perfect spot for a portrait!

The Golf Club at Newcastle is one of my favorite places to photograph a wedding. This is good, since it is one of the most populare locations for a wedding in the Seattle area. Newcastle sits high atop a hill just south of Bellevue with amazing views of Lake Washington and Seattle.

I love these kinds of “portraits” where the bride and groom are just interacting with each other. We always try to get a few with everyone smiling at the camera etc., but then also encourage our subjects to just be in the moment and concentrate on each other. It always results in great pictures.

Wedding: Bastyr University Chapel
Reception: Anthony’s Homeport in Edmonds

Janet and Mike are a fantastic couple. Very fun, loving and devoted to each other.

Everyone love their children and think theirs are the best. I’m not different! Here are some photographs of my amazing children that we took in November for our holiday cards. Now that everyone has seen the cards, I can put out the images!

Alyssa on the train tracks

Kyler against an old brick wall

All three. This is a 30×30 gallery wrapped canvas on our wall.

All these are really just the tip of the iceberg. I could easily have put in another 20 images!
Here’s a few pictures from a recent wedding at the Edgewater Hotel on the Seattle Waterfront. We also stopped for a few quick pictures at Kerry Park and Gasworks. Click below to see more:
