Beth and Shaun’s Engagement Photos in Downtown Seattle
Beth and Shaun are an inspiring couple. They love to eat (like us) but they’re inspiring athletes too (like we want to be).

We are a group of Seattle wedding photographers who have become friends and colleagues through being wedding photographers. The group was started when of few of us began informally referring clients to each other when we were already booked for a certain wedding date. We all felt very strongly about who we would refer potential clients to, and were only comfortable referring clients to other photographers who we knew were reputable as business people, had great character, and were also talented photographers.
Each member of ASWP meets all of these criteria, and you can be assured professional and quality service, as well as beautiful photographs. In addition to photographers, we will slowly be adding pictures and links to other wedding related services such as venues, florists, coordinators, etc. who we have enjoyed working with and whose work we admire. We are different from other wedding related websites, because the criteria for being listed on ASWP is not simply paying to be listed, or forming an advertising pool. The only way to get listed on ASWP is to do top quality work, and provide excellent service as a wedding vendor. There are thousands of wedding vendors in Seattle, and our goal is to provide a list of the resources that each of us would choose for our own weddings. The members are Cory Parris, Maurice Photo, Yours by John, Joe & Jill Photography
Welcome to the website and blog of the ASWP. The ASWP is a group of photographers and friends that have worked together to provide resources for brides getting married in the Seattle area.

Katie and Josh tied the knot at the courthouse in Downtown Seattle in front of an intimate gathering of family and friends. We were able to spend a lot of time with them before the ceremony which was a great opportunity for some fine art portraits. During the ceremony, we wanted to capture the emotional moments of this close knit group.

Annie and Ryan are a great couple. Very fun and friendly - they made me feel like a family member at their wedding! We started the day at Cedarbrook Conference Center in Seatac where the official ceremony was early in the day with an outdoor ceremony for family and friends in the afternoon and the reception at Tea Palace in Renton. What a blast. I love my job!

Annie, rebel that she is, standing on a table for a portrait. Standing on the table gave a cooler view and less cluttered background.

Annie is doing her best to stuff the ring onto Ryan’s finger, but the heat made his fingers swell!

Perisha and Drew experienced one blustery engagement session, but what a fun memory! We can’t wait to do their wedding photography this summer . . .

Krissy and Chris had a beautiful wedding ceremony at the Palace Ballroom. They are a fun couple and I had a blast taking their photographs! Also, the dinner was fantastic.

Krissy and Chris started out at the W Hotel in Seattle

Krissy and the dress

Happiness is a set of Manolo Blahnik wedding shoes…and a decent guy to marry is a bonus.

I love Chris’ expression when he sees Krissy for the first time in the dress

Anyone that reads the blog on a regular basis (I think there are a few out there) know that I love hands. I think hands tell stories and I love this story.

Here is the happy couple in the alley behind the W hotel.

I like this detail image of the bouquet.

Krissy wanted a portrait that stopped traffic!

Here is Krissy looking out the window of the car.

I found this old parking garage behind the Palace Ballroom and thought it would be perfect for the bridal party portrait

The incomparable Chris

I set up a flash to highlight the very cool wedding cake.

Here is the hands thing again. You can see the suppressed excitement.

The hands of the talented Sean Paul, local cellist.

Here is a candid image of Krissy as she is waiting for the wedding to start in the back room of the Palace.

I love how this image captures the pools of light that were around during the wedding.

Krissy and Chris kiss to seal the deal. The blue color in the background is from the daylight peaking through the curtains.

I thought this was so cool. Each table had an appetizer fondue!

I don’t know what was going on, but I thought this moment was hilarious.

This is Krissy and Chris’ first dance.

Here is a Corona all lit up

Here are some engagement photos of our friends Andrea and Ryan. Jill will be a bridesmaid and Joe will be photographing the wedding at the Canal in Ballard. It should be fun!
