Leah + Som Wedding at the Seattle Asian Art Museum
Friday, July 18th, 2008
Here are some pictures from Leah and Som’s wedding. It was an epic 2 day affair, starting with a traditional western style ceremony and reception at theSeattle Asian Art Museum, and then an Indian wedding ceremony at the Bellingham Ferry Terminal the next day.
Their cakes were super cool, including a salmon shaped groom’s cake by Mike’s Amazing Cakes. Click below to see more:

Engagement Pictures
Wednesday, July 16th, 2008
Here’s a couple from images from Trinh and Dao’s engagement session. We had a great time shooting outdoors in the 90 degree heat, and then went in to do a few in the studio of them wearing their traditional tea ceremony outfits.

I love the getting ready area at Newcastle. Huge windows and a nice area.

Jason warming up for the wedding with a little pool. He even made a couple shots!

The groomsmen waiting around in the Wooly Toad bar at Newcastle.

Bride and groom chess pawns.

Jason waits for Joyce with her flowers.

I love the emotion in their meeting images, so I included a few.

Joyce just looks content here.

Nothing like having your sister guide you down the aisle with a big handful of coat! This little guy didn’t seem to mind.

I loved that they set up a private table for the couple to spend a few minutes together after the ceremony.

I loved the smile on one of the “grooms-maids” face in this one as she gave Jason a hug.

Congratulations Joyce & Jason! Enjoy the honeymoon!
Jessica & Dave - Engagement Portraits at Gasworks!
Wednesday, July 16th, 2008Photographer: Cory Parris

It was a beautiful evening at Gasworks Park where I met Jessica and Dave last night.

Right after Jessica told me she wasn’t much of a photo person (as in doesn’t like to be in photos), she threw her head back like this without any prompting. Yeah. She’s horrible for photos. ![]()

This may be my favorite photo of the day. Very cool light and (in my humble opinion) a really nice piece of wall art that also features Jessica and Dave.

Using the radiopoppers again. Toys are fun.

I always know that the bride is going to be a lot of fun if she chooses colored shoes. Check out these green beauties in front of the stained glass window at First Covenant Church in downtown Seattle.

This wedding bracelet has been involved in something like 37 family wedding since the early 1900’s in Jason’s family. The list is all the names of the brides. Very cool.

The beautiful interior of Seattle Covenant.
Another beautiful view of the church.

How can you not love bright green shoes with the wedding dress?

I liked this portrait of Jason with the stranger out of focus in the background.

Here’s the Mustang. I offered to trade for my Kia, but they weren’t having any of it!
