From the photobooth…

Thursday, March 27th, 2008

Here are some sample images from the “Maurice PhotoBooth“. Our photo “booth” is not an actual booth, (it’s better!) because we can fit larger groups and get crazier with posing. They are always a ton of fun to have at the reception, and a great opportunity for the guests to have fun in front of the camera.

MTF is the best wedding band I’ve ever heard - you can’t go wrong by going with them. They asked me to take some promo shots the other day - what a fun crew to work with.

Kay + Ari - Wedding at the DAR House

Wednesday, March 19th, 2008

Kay and Ari were married on a beautiful March day. I don’t get to say that too often. Their wedding and reception were at the Daughters of the American Revolution chapter house on Capital Hill. It’s a beautiful old house filled with antiques. The ceremony was done by Pat of A Heavenly Ceremony. You can see their slideshow here.

Here’s a shot from Dylan and Cassie’s engagement session the other day. We had a great shoot at Discovery Park.

Half the empire…

Thursday, March 13th, 2008

While I was walking around Capitol Hill with Kay & Ari, I spotted this awesome VW bus. My daughter (12), calls them “hippie buses”. I immediately had this thought of posing them in front of it not looking exactly happy. This was the result. I love it for something different!

By the way, I also took some happier images of them!

Birthday Surprise at the Herbfarm

Thursday, March 13th, 2008

Before the Share Our Strength dinner was planned for me to come, I already knew that I would be there the following week. Carrie was planning a surprise party for husband Ron’s 60th birthday party. As the passionate owners of the Herbfarm, she wanted to have the event at the restaurant that is so central to their lives. So she invited Ron’s friends both recent and those he hadn’t seen for a few years.

Togs getting shot…

Friday, March 7th, 2008

So there are few ways to make your average photographer as uncomfortable as taking their photograph. So…when the ASWP got together yesterday at Maurice’s studio, not only did our illustrious Sean Flanigan take photographs of all of us for the website, but I took some behind-the-scenes photos.

SOS Dinner!

Wednesday, March 5th, 2008

I had the great pleasure of photographing a fundraising dinner for Share Our Strength. This is not your average fundraising dinner, however. The dinner was at the Herbfarm in Woodinville, which is the only five star restaurant in the Seattle area, and then added guest chefs from Seattle and around the country! The great thing about it is that the proceeds go to feed hungry children here in the United States. Below are a few of the images.
