John Chin and his fiancee Kim are wedding photographers based in Seattle. They are incredibly talented wedding photographers that also create some amazing automotive imagery.

Q: How did you become a wedding photographer?
A: I started as a car photo enthusiast and loved creating images of cars. A friend of mine that was also into cars asked me to cover his wedding ceremony and reception because he had sunk all his money into his cars. I covered his wedding, had a good time, received some referrals career as a wedding photographer began!
Q: What do you love about weddings?
A: I love the elegance, sophistication and beauty of a wedding. I also love the happiness a wedding brings to the bride, groom and their families.
Q: How would you describe your style?
I blend the best mix of contemporary posed images and photojournalistic candid techniques.
Q: What is your personality and how does that effect the way you work with the bridal couple working up to and on the day of the wedding?
A: I am very easy-going and I always try to accommodate the needs and wishes of my clients while adding my own artistic flair.

A: I am all about Canon!
Q: Do you have any accomplishments or association memberships I should know about?
A: I am a proud member of PPA (Professional Photographers of America)

Q: What advise do you have for couples hiring a photographer?
A: Trust your instincts - book the photographer and work that you love now and worry about prices later!

A: Around $4500

Q: What makes you different (and better) than your competitors?
A: I love working with the couple and bridal party to create incredible, natural posed images.
Q: What is an engagement session, and why do it?
A: An engagement session is a ‘warm-up session’ for you to prepare to be the America’s Next Top Model on your wedding day!
Q: Who or what are the things and people that inspire you?
A: The members of ASWP have inspired and taught me almost every aspect of wedding photography. I am proud to be constantly learning from them.
Q: What is your philosophy in this business?
‘If you’re good to people, people will be good to you, too.’ (I learned that one from Cory Parris).
